Things to Note Before You Vote August 10

On Election Day (Tuesday, August 10), registered voters must go to their designated precinct location to vote in the Primary Runoff. All precincts will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Georgia Does NOT Register by Party
In Georgia, voters do not register by party. On the day of a Primary, each registered voter chooses a Republican or Democratic ballot. In the case of a Primary Runoff, those voters who chose a Republican ballot in the Primary can only vote a Republican ballot in the Runoff. Those voters who chose a Democratic ballot can only vote a Democratic ballot in the Runoff. The registered voters who did not vote in the Primary can choose either a Republican or Democratic ballot in the Primary Runoff.

Remember, all voters voting on Election Day will be asked to provide one of the six acceptable forms of photo identification. To receive more election details regarding photo identification, voting by mail and voting by district, visit the Voter Registrations and Elections page at www.forsythco.com or call the Voter Registrations and Elections office at 770.781.2118.
